A Better You is A Better Me…
“If I can help somebody with a word or song than my living shall not be in vain.”
“If I can help somebody with a word or song than my living shall not be in vain.”
Writing a book (s) doesn’t make you smart as some people tend to think—it makes you vulnerable—especially if you’re transparent for the purpose of your and others’ wellbeing. My life experiences have taught me invaluable lessons—consequently, I am committed to the philosophy of "When you learn, teach." So, I have found my purpose in being dedicated to sharing with others that may want guidance with personal growth—or navigating life's challenges. I believe that if we put our hearts and minds together—self-improvement becomes inevitable.
My goal is to write authentically from my heart—so transparently that my readers feel as if we met up at the local cafe. It is my hope to add value to your life—just as you undoubtedly add value to mine.
What happens when the heart breaks and the brain won't let go? In The Heart Is a Real Place, Christie Y. Shaw offers a rare blend of storytelling, psychological insights, and unapologetically faith-rooted wisdom. This book is a compassionate companion for women navigating heartbreak, emotional trauma, and spiritual rediscovery.
Shaw invites you into a love story that becomes a healing journey, tracing how memory, attachment, and "cycles" of thought keep us tethered, and how prayer, reflection, and renewed self-regard help us gently untether. With clarity and care, she shows why grief after love is both a "heart thing" and a "brain thing," and how to move through it without minimizing your pain or losing yourself.
If you're longing for language that validates your ache and a pathway that restores your worth, this book will meet you where you are, and walk with you toward who you're becoming.
Depth. Sincerity. Emotional resonance. You'll find them here, in a voice that feels like a steady hand on your shoulder.
This is the initial book that inspired BE WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE… Becoming The Person You Told People You Are, sparked responses and questions for more. And I was happy to accommodate the requests.
I don’t consider myself a blogger per se—what I do is more blog-ISH. Generally motivated by something that won’t let my spirit rest until I express it in words. It’s possibly a prelude to a larger work— but in most cases—it’s an exercise of cathartic expression.
